Byron Moonshine Coffee is a family owned and operated Wholesale Roastery in the hinterland of Byron Bay. We measure our success on creating consistent and delicious coffee whilst developing loyal and sustainable relationships with our wholesale family.
Our extensive background in the industry began with commercially cultivating and roasting locally grown coffee in the village of Federal. We’ve spent as much time on the tractor as we have behind the roaster!
In 2016 we left the coffee farm and moved into Fred’s old mechanic shed in the heart of the Federal village. Since then we have grown a strong and passionate team of coffee professionals, serving up Moonshine 7 days a week through our espresso bar and supplying independent cafes and restaurants from Sydney to South Korea.
In 2020 we opened our second Moonshine venue in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane followed by a new roastery and cafe in the country town of Billinudgel.
As roasters we have built our approach to coffee with the customer in mind. We strive to deliver a coffee that is sustainable, approachable and consistently delicious.
Our process starts with a quality raw product and a clear vision of what we want to achieve in the cup. Each small batch of Moonshine is then roasted by hand and evaluated using all five senses and a little bit of science (of course).
Together with our import partner Langdon Coffee Merchants we connect with growers and exporters around the world who value quality coffee and transparency. Through our partnerships we’re committed to fostering sustainable growth across the supply chain.
